August 19, 2011 Beacon House rides The Tide
BH members rode on the Tide—the new Light Rail, for a bit this morning. In actuality, we rode to Eastern Virginia Medical Center—and immediately returned. We did not take the time to visit the many shops, we were too anxious to return to Beacon House to enjoy our Culinary Units’ delicious pasta lunch! The meal was fantastic, however, next time we should try a few of the tasty shops!
The ride was intriguing, conversation with everyone else was memorable. I should have followed the guidance that another rider was giving his son: follow the pamphlet to be aware of my stop!—I did not follow the pamphlet, and when my stop came sooner than I expected, exiting the train was a task, to say the least!
There were many riders in the back of the Light Rail that were mocking the experience one receives when they are on a long-distance car trip with their family. I didn’t even notice them until the trip was almost over!
